What is Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA)?

Healing Touch for Animals® is a holistic approach that uses intentional energy work to influence the health and well-being of animals. It is based on the principles of the Healing Touch Program™ for humans, which is an energy-medicine therapy recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). HTA adapts these techniques to work effectively with an animal's unique system.

How Does it Work?

The heart of HTA is about bringing balance and flow to your animal’s energy centers and overall energy field. By integrating these systems, we create a positive physical shift intended to:

  • Induce a deep relaxation response, which helps release endorphins.

  • Relax the muscles and increase circulation, sending more oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.

  • Regulate hormones and the immune system.

  • Release toxins from the body to allow healthy cells to regenerate.

  • Establish a sense of well-being that encourages the body's natural ability to heal itself.

What Are the Benefits?

  • Alleviate pain

  • Reduce stress

  • Complement traditional veterinary care

  • Clear congestion and toxicity

  • Improve physical, emotional and energetic balance

  • Maintain a sense of well-being

  • Help strengthen the immune system

  • Reduce recovery time after surgery, giving birth, or other conditions

  • Speed healing of musculoskeletal injuries

  • Deepen the relationship between the animal and the caregiver

How Long Does a Session Last?

A standard session lasts approximately 50 minutes, though the duration is ultimately guided by the animal’s needs. Lynn begins with a comprehensive review of the animal’s medical and behavioral history to create a customized care plan. Based on a real-time assessment, specific techniques are selected to address the animal's unique requirements. While a single session is beneficial, ongoing support is often helpful for managing long-term or chronic issues.

How is it Applied?

Healing Touch for Animals® is adaptable to any environment. Whether the practitioner is touching the animal or miles away, the outcome remains consistent.

  • Direct Touch: Applied through gentle physical contact

  • Near-Body Support: Perfect for birds in cages, horses in stalls, or sensitive animals in kennels

  • Distance Sessions: Energetic balancing performed remotely, connecting with the animal from another city, state, or country
